I read 1 Corinthians 1 today and I found it interesting how the message of the gospel is delivered in humility.
A lack of wisdom and eloquence is celebrated. The characteristics of the preacher are not important.
God specifically seeks to spread the message of the Cross in a humble way through humble people.
God is not interested in the characteristics of people. He made people and he is not impressed by them.
There is a trap in the Church where the influence of the human social hierarchy seep in and influence behaviors. However, that is not God's way.
Those who are successful non-Christians due to their characteristics do not make better Christians once they are converted. That person you consider terrible could end up being the one who will love God the most. I think loving God is the characteristic that matters most.
